Job Description:
As a Keyboard Instructor at Vama Academy, you’ll guide students of all ages and levels on an exciting musical journey 🎶. Your role will include preparing students for Trinity and Rockschool certification 📜, offering performance opportunities 🎤, and being part of our supportive team that enjoys annual trips 🌍, team lunches 🍲& dinners 🍽️.

Key Responsibilities:

• 📚 Create Engaging Lessons: Develop lessons suited to beginners through advanced players.
• 🎹 Teach Skills: Instruct keyboard techniques, music theory, and performance.
• 📜 Certification Preparation: Prepare students for Trinity and Rockschool exams.
• 🎨 Inspire Creativity: Foster musical growth, discipline, and self-expression.
• 🎶 Organize Performances: Guide students in recitals and performance opportunities.
• 👍 Provide Feedback: Maintain a supportive learning atmosphere with constructive feedback.
• 📈 Track Progress: Keep records and communicate updates with parents.

Requirements:

• 🎓 Qualifications: Proficient in keyboard/piano with a strong technical and theoretical foundation.
• 📜 Certification: Trinity College London or Rockschool certification will be an added advantage.
• 👩‍🏫 Teaching Experience: Previous experience in teaching keyboard or piano.
• 🎼 Versatility: Ability to teach various styles from classical to contemporary.
• 💬 Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 💡 Passion and Patience: Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students.
